We make getting a crown as smooth and stress-free as possible. Here's a simple overview of what to expect:

Step 1 — Consultation & Exam

Dr. Hunt will evaluate the damaged tooth, review appropriate X-rays, and determine whether a crown or another General Dentistry treatment is recommended.

Step 2 — Tooth Preparation & Impressions

The tooth is gently shaped to create the ideal foundation for your crown. We then take precise impressions to ensure your permanent crown fits your exact bite and smile.

Step 3 — Temporary Crown

A temporary crown is placed to protect your tooth while your permanent crown is carefully crafted at the dental lab. Most patients wear their temporary crown comfortably for one to two weeks.

Avoid very sticky or hard foods while wearing the temporary crown, and contact the office if it becomes loose or damaged.

Step 4 — Final Crown Placement

Once your permanent crown is ready, Dr. Hunt checks the fit, color, and bite before cementing it into place. You'll leave with a restored tooth that looks and feels completely natural.
