Time is critical. Pick up the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with water if dirty, and try to place it back into the socket. If that’s not possible, keep it moist in milk, saliva, or a tooth preservation kit. Call us immediately – the sooner we see you, the better the chance of saving the tooth.

Rinse your mouth with warm water, floss gently to remove any trapped food, and apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to reduce swelling. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum or tooth – it can burn the tissue. Call our office for an emergency appointment.
